DUPE: BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone vs. Colourpop Cosmetics Super Shock Cheek Highlighter in Lunch Money

2:15 AM

Hey beauties!

I'm nearing the end of my third year exam period and I'm so close to Summer vacation. I thought I'd do a quick (and very late) dupe post to alleviate the "dry spell" happening on this blog lol. The corresponding Instagram post is already on my feed (a few posts deep actually), so if you'd like a more concise comparison, go ahead and click through the right side bar to view my post.

Colourpop's Lunch Money can be purchased at www.colourpop.com for US$8.00 and BECCA's Moonstone can be purchased at www.sephora.ca for C$46.00

Both products are a beautiful pale champagne with a pale gold iridescence. Lunch Money is a cream to powder highlighter with a pearlized finish. The shade is an almost perfect match to Moonstone and leans slightly more white gold than champagne gold. Because Lunch Money is a pearlized highlighter, it does not reflect light as intensely as Moonstone, which is a true shimmer highlight. The shimmers in Moonstone are a pale gold and reflect light very intensely. Lunch Money is more of a metallic cream to powder highlight and does not contain as much shimmer as Moonstone does. This is also why the Lunch Money appears to be deeper in shade compared to Moonstone. Lunch Money's base shade is very close to Moonstone despite the lack of shimmer that Moonstone has, but they do look very similar when applied to the face.

I love to use Lunch Money to highlight my cupids bow and the bridge of my nose. I tend to get very oily in my t-zone, so it's great for creating a more subtle glow that doesn't make my nose look "shiny" the way it would if I were to apply Moonstone to the cupid's bow or bridge of my nose. Moonstone and all of Becca's powder highlights are fantastic to use on top of the cheekbones, as inner corner highlights and brow bone highlights. It's very intense and gives a beautiful, healthy glow to your face.

Do you have any dupes for the Becca highlighters? Let me know in the comments below, I'd love to know!

Xo,
Marian
