First and foremost, if you are reading this, whether you stumbled upon my blog by accident or were intrigued enough by my Instagram announcement to have a quick look, thank you so much for taking the time to take a glance at my brand new blog. This is a big step for me. I'm not the type of person to put myself out there and it took a lot for me to just start up my Instagram account. I'm so thankful to have gotten enough positive feedback to encourage me to start this blog. I may not have hundreds of thousands of followers and I may not be a household name for beauty enthusiasts everywhere, but no matter how small the numbers, thank you so much to those who follow and appreciate what I post on @mdrlovesmakeup and support my account.

I decided to start this blog to accommodate for some of the more detailed posts I've been putting on Instagram. I always felt a little bit restricted when writing reviews to accompany my photos because, after all, Instagram is a photo-sharing platform, and many tend to skim or completely disregard long captions. A blog will allow me to write and review as freely and as in-depth as necessary, as well as allow those who do follow my Instagram account to choose which of my lengthier posts they'd be interested in reading. How I plan to go about running my Instagram account and this blog in conjuction with each other is that I will post photo announcements of when a new blog post is up with a brief summary of the post in the caption. A clickable link to my blog will be included in my Instagram biography and the most recent blog post will always be at the top of the page. I will still be sharing brief posts that are not accompanied with a blog post on my Instagram feed.

I hope this will be a more efficient and effective outlet to share detailed product reviews, hauls, comparisons, and much more. Thanks for stopping by!
